Technical Review of Multi Model Biometrics System

چکیده
Biometrics refers to automatic recognition of individuals based on their physiological and/or behavioral characteristics. Unimodal biometric systems allow person recognition based on a single source of biometric information but cannot guaranty a perfect identification. Such systems are sensitive to noisy sensor data, non-universality and lack of individuality of the chosen biometric trait, and susceptible to spoof attacks. Most of those problems can be alleviated by using multimodal biometric systems that combine several biometric signatures, thus offering better recognition rates and a higher level of security. This paper presents an overview of multimodal biometrics. This includes the block diagram of general multimodal biometrics, modules of multimodal biometric system, different levels of fusion in multimodal biometrics and related work is also covered in this paper.

Multi-Objective Lead Time Control in Multistage Assembly Systems (TECHNICAL NOTE)
In this paper we develop a multi-objective model to optimally control the lead time of a multistage assembly system. The multistage assembly system is modeled as an open queueing network, whose service stations represent manufacturing or assembly operations. The arrival processes of the individual parts of the product, which should be assembled to each other in assembly stations, are assumed to...
متن کاملComprehensive Decision Modeling of Reverse Logistics System: A Multi-criteria Decision Making Model by using Hybrid Evidential Reasoning Approach and TOPSIS (TECHNICAL NOTE)
In the last two decades, product recovery systems have received increasing attention due to several reasons such as new governmental regulations and economic advantages. One of the most important activities of these systems is to assign returned products to suitable reverse manufacturing alternatives. Uncertainty of returned products in terms of quantity, quality, and time complicates the decis...
متن کاملPareto Optimization of a Two-degree of Freedom Passive Linear Suspension Using a New Multi-objective Genetic Algorithm (TECHNICAL NOTE)
The primary function of a suspension system of a vehicle is to isolate the road excitations experienced by the tires from being transmitted to the passengers. In this paper, we formulate an optimal vehicle suspension design problem with the quarter-car vehicle dynamic model. A new multi-objective genetic algorithm is used for Pareto optimization of a two-degree of freedom vehicle vibration mode...
متن کاملReview of the Ethical and Technical Principles of Working with Zebrafish as a Species of the Biological Model in Medical Science Studies
The Zebrafish is a preeminent model organism that, with its most prominent features, has expanded the boundaries of science in many disciplines. Characteristics of this small freshwater fish, with the help of biologists, showed that it has a highly comparable genetic with mammals such as mice and rats. For example, the emergence of new and efficient methods for duplicating and editing the genom...
متن کاملOptimal Placement of Substations Based on Economic and Technical Risk Management
Design and expansion of distribution systems seems inevitable in view of the need to satisfy the rise in energy consumption in a technical and economical way. Optimal location, sizing and determining the service area of substations is one of the principle problems in expansion of distribution systems. Also uncertainty is one of the important factors that increase risk of exact decision makings....
